Hon. Filip Kaczmarek, Head of the AWEPA Section in the European Parliament organised a meeting on the proposal by the European Commission to set up a Pan African Programme, or a financial instrument of 1 billion Euros in the next budget of the European Union as part of the legislative package for the EU’s 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework. The Pan African Programme will notably support activities of trans-regional, continental and global nature. Hon. Michael Gahler, Chair of Delegation for relations with the Pan-African Parliament and AWEPA member delivered a keynote speech.
